About Barney:
Barney will shortly be entering our training programme, where he will be developed into a well-rounded companion dog. We have worked with many Labradors from his lines previously, and they consistently go on to make excellent, active, and obedient pets with a strong desire to work with their handler.
He is expected to have a lovely balance of energy and calmness, making him well suited to both active homes and those wanting a dog that can switch off and relax.
Training Plan:
As part of our programme, Barney will be trained in:
- Loose lead walking (“with me”)
- Recall foundations
- Calm behaviour in the home
- Place/settle training
- Neutrality around people and dogs
- Exposure to cafés, towns, countryside, and real-life environments
- Travel in vehicles and calm crate behaviour
All training is carried out with a focus on creating a dog that is reliable, easy to live with, and adaptable to everyday life.
